How to get a featured photo on the home page slideshow

Many of you have asked us how to be promoted on the home page.

For those of you interested in promoting your photography on the first page of this site, we suggest building your image with your name, or photography business name, in one of the top corners. We suggest the top left corner, but the top right works too. Also, we'll only add it if it's built at 800 px by 590 px like in the diagram. This way it fits perfectly.

Whale Watching Season

Whale Watching Maui Whale watching season is coming upon us quickly (Dec 15th-Apr 15th.) Maui is home to some of the best whale watching on the islands, and the world! This year we'd like to challenge photographers to capture 2 whales breaching at once.

Is Film Dead?

I'm debating over switching to digital. I know, I'm one of the last people to do it, but I have a real connection with working with my photos manually. Everyone tells me I need to leave the stinky chemicals and move onto the computer, but what is the advantage? Should I make this leap?

I know you can share images better, but does digital compromise quality? Sometimes I've noticed the colors aren't as vibrant and sometimes are pixelated.
