One of the best ways to experience Maui's scenery and underwater world is on a kayak tour. Paddling on the ocean allows guests a new perspective of Maui's shoreline and is a fun way to arrive at some of the best snorkeling and whale watching areas in the state, including Turtle Town, Coral Gardens, Honolua Bay and even Molokini Crater.
Maui photographer and Hawaiian Paddle Sports tour guide Peter Rimkus has captured some truly amazing photos of Hawaii's marine life, including honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles), Hawaiian monk seals, manta rays, spotted eagle rays, Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins, humpback whales, octopus, eels and more.
Due to Hawaii's extremely remote location (the most isolated population center on Earth), many of the local marine species you're likely to see are found nowhere else in the world.
If you're looking for a chance to learn more about Maui's unique marine life while enjoying a day on the ocean, consider joining a group or private kayak tour, perfect for families, friends and individuals.
