The Te Au Moana Luau at the Wailea Marriott is a truly unique experience that will stay with guests for years to come (we’ve attended this luau more than any other luau on Maui.) Their traditional luau combines Polynesian song and dance performances with a feast of savory island dishes. Guests will enjoy traditional Hawaiian music, dances from other Pacific Islands, as well as fire-knife dancers and hula lessons. All of the performances are handled by experienced staff who know how to make each guest feel like part of the show.
In addition to being entertained, diners will be treated to a feast of fresh island cuisine, including Kalua pig, steamed fish, poi, lomi salmon, and more. Each course is accompanied by flavorful side dishes such as macaroni salad and tropical fruit (menu subject to change.) If you want the most popular luau, head to Old Lahaina Luau in Lahaina. This luau has been praised by locals and visitors alike for its high-quality food, traditional Hawaiian entertainment, beautiful beachfront setting, and friendly staff. Keep in mind, due to its popularity, this one books up months in advance. ALSO, keep in mind that we believe the other Maui luaus above are just as good, if not better. Don’t get us wrong, this is a wonderful experience, but because they want to be authentic to Hawaii, you miss out on a fire dance show. For us, we feel a well-rounded Polynesian experience is better because of that. At the Old Lahaina Luau, enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet full of delicious Hawaiian specialties like kalua pork as well as an exciting show featuring hula dancers and great music.
